Why people buy from us
Many of our patients throughout San Diego County drive right
past their local optical shop, chain store, or discount
warehouse in order to have their glasses made by One-to-One
EyeCare’s expert optician, Paula Watling. Patients regularly
tell us that they’ve never had glasses they’ve seen as well with
as the glasses they’ve purchased from Paula in our convenient,
in-office optical boutique. |

30-years of experience makes a difference
It is Paula’s insistence on using the highest quality lenses and
her many years of fitting expertise that can make the difference
between a good pair of glasses and a great pair of glasses! And
if you’ve ever had trouble deciding which glasses will look best
on you, give Paula about one minute – and she’ll have a whole
collection of frames to show you that will look fantastic and
will be perfectly suited to your glasses prescription!
You want a licensed and certified
optician, not a sales clerk
Paula has worked in opticianry for 30 years and is fully
licensed and certified, unlike the many “clerk-opticians” you’ll
often find working in retail stores and discount stores. She’s
worked in high-fashion retail optical stores in downtown La
Jolla and in Las Vegas and was the optician for the Shiley Eye
Institute at UCSD before coming to One-to-One Eyecare. Paula is
certified by the American Board of Opticianry, the National
Contact Lens Examiners, and is a Registered Spectacle Lens
Dispenser.
Progressive lenses are our specialty
Paula has special expertise fitting progressive lenses, also
sometimes called no-line bifocals. If there’s any one type of
lens that needs to be fit just right to work best, it’s a
progressive lens – and Paula understands the way different
progressive lens brands are engineered so well that she can
design just the right one to meet your individual vision needs
-- even if you’ve had trouble getting used to progressive lenses
in the past.
You don’t have to pay more to see your best and look your
best
We stock several hundred designer frames, fashion frames, and
professional frames at all times. And if you think it has to be
more expensive to buy glasses in an eye doctor’s office than in
a chain store – think again! Paula offers some of the best
prices in town on designer frames and maintains a special line
of frames and lenses called “Value Line” that is priced
comparably to the lowest price chain stores and discount
warehouses. |
